Our Music

First and formost it's all about you and your guests.
Music is of course the most important part of the show. The music played can mean the difference between a dance floor full of happy smiling faces or an empty floor with the occasional bit of tumbleweed for company! ;-)

Southeast DJs have a massive archive of music available, covering all genres from the 50’s 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s and all the current chart toppers. Unlike some of our competitors we do ask for your requests and we are more than happy to work from your playlist.

Programming (no computers here!)
Programming is in our opinion one of the most important skills any professional DJ should have and ranks well above beat mixing/scratching. Sadly this is a basic skill lacking with many of today's DJ's.
What is programming? Programming is being able to read an audience & know what to play and when to play it. and in the right order.

Example:

We are doing a 40th birthay party and we've just played The B52's Love Shack to a packed dancefloor & we want to keep the party vibe going so we would follow it up with something similar like Kool & The Gang's Celebration.
We have always found that the biggest party tunes and oldies work best later in the evening as by that time the 'dutch courage' has well and truely kicked in! ;-)
